We are excited to announce the rural women entrepreneur project launch on 28th December 2021 in Trincomalee districts!

This project has been in the works for some time, and we are thrilled to get it off the ground finally. We aim to provide support and resources to women in rural areas interested in starting their businesses.

Starting a business can be daunting, especially in areas where resources may be scarce, but we believe these women can achieve great things with the right tools and support. We will be offering a range of services, including mentorship, training, and access to funding opportunities. We can’t wait to see all the fantastic businesses that will come out of this project!
Mr. Pragalathan and Sooriya & Vitha conducted the first phase of the women entrepreneur program.

Empowering women entrepreneurs in the Trincomalee district, or any region, is essential for various social, economic, and developmental reasons. Women entrepreneurs can contribute significantly to the local economy by creating jobs, generating income, and boosting economic activity. Allowing women to start and run businesses increases economic growth and development in the district.

Women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship alleviates poverty by providing them with avenues to generate income and improve their living standards. This can positively impact the overall well-being of families and communities.
It also sends a powerful message that women can excel in business and leadership roles, breaking down stereotypes and fostering a more inclusive society.
