SUPPORT FOR EDUCATION OF CHILDREN

In the aftermath of Sri Lanka’s civil war, the plight of the Tamil children was grave. Many children lost their parents and were displaced. Families were relocated to places far from their home towns, and they are still struggling with the side effects of the civil war. The children are the most vulnerable and were affected by poverty, poor health and shelter and lack of educational facilities, for no fault of their own. Every child has the right to health, education and protection and our society has the responsibility to expand the opportunities for these children.

At Pledge to Restore, we are dedicated to improve the educational standards of the poverty-stricken children, living in the North and East of Sri Lanka. We are committed to bring great transformation for children living in poverty stricken, less advantaged communities by supporting them with quality education and provision of books and accessories necessary to improve their education.
