The new interface for Avast is well laid out, with a clear demarcation between its various components and easy-to-use blue icons (with orange accents from the logo of the company) to help you identify the suite’s capabilities. However the fact that a lot of the other features offered by Avast are buried away in the “Explore” tab is a bit frustrating.
The installation process is simple and you’re not guilt-tripped into choosing the free version, but a full scan can detect “advanced issues” that can only be addressed by paying for premium security. This is a bit sneaky. Especially when you click the Resolve option, and you’re directed to a page which asks you to sign up for Avast Premium security.
